Wednesday Night Alive Brochure
Wednesday Night Alive has been an integral part of American Lutheran Church of Sun City for over 25 years! The WNA season starts on the first Wednesday in November and continues until Holy Week. Each Wednesday evening begins with a program at 4:00 p.m., followed by a catered dinner at 5:00 p.m., and concluded with a program at 6:00 p.m. During Advent (December) and Lent (Ash Wednesday through Easter), the Advent or Lenten church service replaces the 6:00 p.m. WNA program.
All events – dinner and programs – are open to church members and non-members. Attending a WNA program is free, but there is a cost for the dinner. A dinner ticket must be purchased in advance and costs $12 (the Gala is $15). Dinner tickets can be purchased via cash or check after any of the weekend worship services, in the church office no later than noon the prior Monday, during the preceding WNA dinner, or online on this page. No telephone reservations are taken. Each meal includes a main course, one or more sides, a dessert, and coffee or water.
The purpose of WNA is to combine congregational fellowship with community outreach that inspires, educates, and entertains.
The 4:00 p.m. programs are usually led by a presenter on a variety of inspirational and/or educational topics, while the 6:00 p.m. programs are usually musical entertainment provided by local musicians. We encourage members to invite their friends and neighbors. WNA is a great way to introduce others to American Lutheran Church of Sun City.
Programs are arranged by the WNA Committee, and we invite any ALC member to join the WNA committee to help us fulfill our exciting and important mission. Contact Debra Hjortland or Donna Borden if you have any questions or are interested in joining the WNA Committee.
