Music Ministry

Choir

Singing our praise to God is an important part of worship life at American Lutheran Church.  The psalmist declares, “How good it is to sing praises to our God.” (Psalm 147) The ALC Choir, as assisting ministers, helps the congregation to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord.”  (Psalm 100) In addition to Sunday morning worship, the choir also participates in festival services and special occasions.  Singers of all experience levels are welcome to join this vibrant and friendly group. The choir rehearses on Thursdays from 2:30 to 4:15 p.m.  For additional information, please contact ALC’s choir director, Jan MacDonald. Choir Member Login

Instrumentalists

Casavant Pipe Organ

American Lutheran Church is blessed with a beautiful pipe organ that is regularly played during worship: by supporting the singing of our congregation, accompanying our choirs, and providing instrumental music before, during, and following the service. Additionally, organists present concerts that are well-received by our congregation and the greater community. Our organ was built in 2001 by Casavant-Freres of Saint-Hyacinthe, QC Canada; it is a three manual instrument with 55 ranks of pipes. Our pipe organ is among the finest organs in the greater Phoenix area. For additional information, please contact our organist, Dr. James Gerber.
